A blood soaked medieval war for the throne of Castile-León (Spain) : Pedro I The Cruel vs. Henry of Trastámara. The death of Pedro I, the Cruel, the king of Castile and Leon on March 23, 1369 by his half brother, Henry of Trastámara (later Henry II). The bastard and the cruel, two candidates for a crown by Covadonga Valdaliso (University of Coimbra / University of Lisbon) In this article, C. Valdaliso, specialist in the biography of King Don Pedro, gives us an insight into the lives and personalities of the two protagonists of the war: King Pedro I the Cruel and his half brother Enrique de Trastámara, candidate for the same throne.
